Current LOVE : Crest 3D White Professional Effects Whitestrips!

Crest White Strips

                                                                                          -Jessica :)
As you probably heard on tv "If You're Not Whitening, You're Yellowing."So probably somewhere last month influenster sent me a lovely surprise of my new favorite thing. They sent me crest white strips. I always had an insecurity of my teeth for being a little naturally yellow. So when I first got this is was over joyed. And in a ways finding it in my mail was kind of ironic. The day before when I asked my mom if  I could get get the $40 strip kit she said "NO!" Not only was I over joyed but I got to save a few because I got it for the best price of all FREE!
I have been using the strips every day, and hopefully I will have a video up about it soon. They really have been working. Honestly after I finish my free box I defiantly want to repurchase it (if my mom lets me).
After just 3 uses I saw a difference. It is truly amazing what a whiter smile can do for your confidence.
By the way if you want to know more about influenster go to www.influenster.com . If you are on some type of social networking website you can get free stuff every month. Also check out this awesome thing :    http://www.3dwhite.com/

Favorite: Eyeliners

Something that can finish any eye makeup look is probably, for me, eyeliner. They come in all different colors, shapes and sizes, and sometimes it can be kind of confusing. Everyone knows the basics though. Black is perfect for everyday, and brown is for a softer, more natural look. For fun, you can always do a pop of color (my favorite being purple because of my brown eyes) on the lower eye-lash line. In today's market you can get some really great unique liners from pencil, to gel, to felt tip liner. There are all different types to match everyone budget.
The basic type of liner is pencil. Pencil works amazing on the water line. Whether it roll-up or it is a pencil, it basically works the same. Typically pencil liners are cheaper then mechanical but mechanical liners are probably more convenient. (DO NOT OWN PHOTOS!)
My favorite pencil liners are:

  JESSICA's favorites:

                                Urban Decay 24/7 Pencils: $19
These liners are really creamy, can smudge, but then set nicely for the day. The only problem is they quite expensive. I have the black one and the hot pink one. I love the hot pink one as a lip liner because it wears longer.
Maybelline define-a-lash eyeliner: $6
This liner is almost a perfect dupe of the 24/7 liner except it is a bit less black. Also it helps your pockets and it is mechanical. I love this even more than the 24/7 for that reason.

Marbella eyeliner pen- $19
Pricey, but AMAZING. There are many great dupes for this eyeliner pens, but i received this in my My glam bag. This works so well and is an easy application. I would not have bought this if i had not received it in my Myglam bag!

SHERRY's eyeliner reccomendations-

If you looking for a REALLY cheap & OK, meaning not that good.., eyeliners:

Wetnwild $0.99

NYC $0.99

They are not so pigmented but for $1 they are pretty good. I reccomend this to eyeliner-begginers :)

WetnWild mega liner- $3 Really like the soft, flexible tip. Highly pigmented and does not get messy after application. Will buy this again after I run out!

E.l.f cream liner- $3

Really creamy, smooth, and affordable! The brush it came with is amazing, so you can make your eyeliner thick or thin! Wetnwild one is the same price and just as good (comes with brush also)

What are you favorite liners?

Trend Alert: Rail Road Stripes

QUICK TREND:

On the streets, in the stores, and on the runway you see them. There railroad stripes: the perfect neutral pattern to add a fun flare to any outfit. Sometimes this railroad strip trend also falls in the category of nautical, as seen here:
These railroad wedges are really chic and make any spring outfit stylish. I like to pair these shoes ( I have these in a shorter version) with denim cuffed ankle jeans and a flowy tank. I feel so vintage when I were them.
Lately I have been seeing people were railroad striped Denim jacket.   Lovelylaurentv has one and hers is really cute, it is from XXI for $26.

I love this jacket. The stripes are thick, but it still have that rail road feeling. I love this trend and love to rock it all year long. To in the winter- stripped jeans, to the summer- stripped glasses.

Everything about: IMATS (International makeup Artist Tradeshow!)

IMATS- The "INTERNATIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST TRADESHOW"
http://www.imats.net/newyork/newyork_index.php

I went to the NYC 2012 one with my good friend, Lauren who is actually LovelyLaurenTv on Youtube(=
*HAD A GREAT TIME!
* DEF going next year!

What is it?:
- A gathering of people interested in makeup, show makeup, seeing popular beauty guru's from Youtube, & amazing sales & deals on makeup and makeup accessories.
- NO! You do NOT have to be a professional makeup artist to go! You can be ANYBODY (as long as you have a ticket)

Day, time & tickets:
-I would consider going on a Saturday because most guru's go on Saturdays (or both days!) and there are more makeup and stuff on Saturdays, from what I heard. But either day you choose to go on- you will have great time and find amazing deals with a variation of makeup companies- plus its a great experience!
-GO A BIT LATER! Lauren and I actually arrived at IMATS around 11AM even though it began at 8:30 and people began lining up around 7:30! We did not miss a single thing, and the lines were the same and as were the makeup booths! We got much more sleep and time to get ready without a hazzle.
- Buying tickets online is SO much more convenient because...
1. Its half the price
2. You have to wait on longer lines if your purchasing at door
3. You might risk the chance of the tickets being sold out at door

Makeup deals & sales:
*Note: I totally forgot some of the deals because I was so overwhelmed by all the stuff & people, plus I'm making this blog a few weeks after IMATS April 14th 2012.

-Stila: 40& off
-MUFE was NOT there! :( , usually they are the highlight of IMATS!
- Yaby- 3.50 for a single re-fill shadow, 2 for $5 for refill eye shadow pans
- NYX- around 25% off? LINES ARE CRAZY FOR THIS BOOTH! Luckily we went back when the line was small and everyone was seeing KandyJohnson
-Soooo many brush booths, its crazy! From $3 single brushes- $10-100 packs of either travel sized or amazing quality full-size brushes, amazing deals

Other tips-
pack lightly
don't go to early
go back to the booths that have the longest lines
dress lightly
bring camera
:D

I HOPE THIS HELPED![=

MyGlam: Is it a Hit or Miss?

by Jess
We have all heard of myglam from huge beauty guru, like Michelle Phan, but is it really good? If you have been living under a rock, and have not heard of it yet this is the website:http://www.myglam.com/  . Basically it's just like birchbox only it supposed to be for makeup only. I have been a member since February. Unfortuantly I missed the first month bag; the December bag; which happened to be amazing:
                                                           December: Holiday
In it was:a mini size of tarte mascara, NYX lipcream, MAI couture blush or blotting paper ( some people got both ), a full size of urban decay eye shadow in sin, and a travel size of urban decay primer potion. In my opinion this bag was amazing. But, this is expected from the first month.  But I tried all of these product, and love them.

The January Bag: Refresh
As my first glambag I fell in love. It was a go-green theme, I believe. All the products were natural or organic. The products:
A freeman mask: i love this and use it every week
Wen Conditioner: I hated this and it was a really small size
Hot ticket nail Polish: Some got a balm eye shadow instead.Lets just say that i would have preferred that.
Sheer cover concealer Duo: I love this so much. It is one of my favorites. All in all I really liked this bag. Some things were a hit others a miss. Deffinitley worth my ten dollars.

February: The Love Bag
I'm not loving the Valentine's bag. How do I put it: it sucked.
NYX Glitter: What do i do with this? No one needs this
Chocolate: ??
Sample size of Dead Sea moisturizer: I gave this one to my mom because it was recommend to prevent wrinkles. But it was so small that it would not do anything.
Freeman One-time use mark: Last month I got a whole bottle of this brand.
Shine Control: This does nothing.
NUME $100 GIFTCARD: I really do like nume. But this does nothing. A nume straighteners from nume is $160; at marshals it is $35. Why bother?

March: Spring Cleaning

This bag was okay, "eh".
MyGlam brush: I love this brush. Perfect for your crease and so soft. At first it smelt weird (probably plastic).
Purlisse chap-stick: Lets just say E.O.S is better and cheaper
Purlisse Moisturizer: Based on the sample they gave me I could not tell.
Murad Eye Corrector: this was nice, like a primer for concealer.
Kera-Color: This is still sitting in my draw. I never used it because I do not color my hair.
$50 Dermastore gift card: Never used it because I do not want to spend $25 first.

So My glam or birch box? Although I really only liked one of my bags so far, I will continue to pay for it.

What do you think? Do you think my glam is a Hit or a Miss?
